4th of July/Oregon Coast Trip

We met up with most of my family at the Oregon Coast over the 4th of July weekend. We camped at Fort Stevens State Park. Fort Stevens is a World War II military fort. It is very large and fun to explore. The campgrounds are a little south of the fort, and even though it rained the first day, we still had a blast exploring.

We also got to spend some time on the beach each day. I LOVE the Oregon Coast. It is very beautiful! Also on the beach where we were camping there is the skeleton of an old English ship that ran ashore in the early 1900's called the Peter Iredale.

Then on the 4th we went to Seaside and dug a pit and had a bbq/bonfire and fireworks on the beach. It was such a perfect way to spend Independence Day! Bryant couldn't get enough of the fireworks, so it was good that we were surrounded by them for about 2 hours. We had a great time with cousins and strengthening our relationships with my family. We love you guys!

7 New Posts!

I haven't gotten very many comments lately, so I thought that everyone had stopped reading my blog. So, I stopped blogging. I really started this blog so that my family who lives far from me could still watch my kids grow up. The other reason I blog is because I don't scrapbook much anymore and this way I still have pictures and a record of our family's events. So, with that being said I decided to keep blogging for my kids and anyone that reads it is a bonus. I've missed a lot in the last month, so there are 7 new posts up.

Why do you blog?

Lydia's 6th birthday party

Lydia wanted a late-over party this year. We don't do sleep overs, so this is what we came up with. We painted toes, had cupcakes, opened presents, and then watched a movie in p.j.'s. They got to stay up 'till 10:00! She had a great time. I can't believe my baby is 6 years old, or that I've been a parent for 6 years!

Lydia's last day of Kindergarten

This is Lydia on her last day of school. There was a little party as the kids got off the bus and everyone was cheering and excited. This was Lydia...

I guess she likes school. Yay!

Strawberry Days '10

Strawberry Days were last week. They are such a great kick off to summer. We did our usuals: Concert in the park, children's parade, Huck Finn day, and the parade. We had a blast and love living in this great city! This is from the parade, which my niece Haley was here for as well, which made it so much more fun!

Bryant was pretty tired out by the end though. Yay! Summer is here!

Ali's Dance Concert

Ali's dance concert theme was Peter Pan and she was a little fairy. She just loves to dress up and go out and perform. She doesn't forget her steps and just shines in the spot light. She also has two of her friends in her class, Ava and Aspen. I call them the Three A-migos. They're so cute!

I'm so proud of you, Ali!

Bryant's First Birthday!

Yes, my baby is already one year old! He thinks he's a toddler, but he's still my baby. We went to Jungle Jim's and he just loved it.

I made cupcakes which he promptly made a mess of, but they were yummy!

Bryant is such a delight to have in our family. He is a happy, laughing little fellow. He is walking and enjoys chasing the girls around the house. He has 12 teeth, so he eats almost anything. He can say mama, dada, and na na na (no no no) while shaking his finger. The girls just love to play with him and we are so glad he is part of our family! Happy birthday, Bry Bry!
