Lydia wins a bike

Yep, Lydia won a bike at school. Lindon Elementary gave away one bike to the lower grades and one bike to the upper grades for perfect attendance. My lucky girl got it! It was the next size up from the one she has and it was perfect for her. She's on a winning streak. Maybe I should take her to Vegas.

Bryant is 2

That's right folks, my baby is 2 now. We went to Monkey Island and he had a blast! He had not fear and went on all the big slides. He often landed on his face, but he just laughed and kept going. He is all boy. While both girls often came to me with a bump or a burn, he played to his hearts content. He loved opening his presents, and of course we had cake. We had to relight the candles about a dozen times because he wanted to blow them out again and again. Bryant is saying more words and even some sentences. He is a picky eater, but will eat some traditional kiddie foods like mac and cheese, ramen noodles, hot dogs, and pizza. He prefers to be outside playing with a ball or in the water. He smiles and laughs a lot and he is a clown. He is very entertaining to the rest of us. We love you baby boy!

Lydia's last day of 1st grade

Last year Lydia was very sad when school was over for the year. This year she celebrated with the rest of the kids. She had a great year and loved her teacher. I think this time she realizes that there are good things to come next year too. She has a new teacher to the school, Mrs. Wright and several of her friends are in the same class. She is also excited to ride the bus with Ali this next year! We had a bus stop party and the kids loved it.

Ali can ride a BIKE!

So, Ali hit another great milestone today. She learned how to ride a two wheeler!! She was doing well, but couldn't get started very well by herself. Tonight, she just took off. She's as proud as a peacock with herself. Here's Ali's peacock.

Zoom zoom! Good job Ali!

Ali's Preschool Graduation

Yes folks, Ali has graduated from preschool. She gets her shots next week, and she is registered. My baby girl is going to Kindergarten. Her graduation was simple and cute. They sang some songs she learned in preschool this year. Then she got a diploma that she was SURE was a treasure map. She also got a homework booklet for summer and a book. She has learned all her colors, shapes, letters with sounds, days of the week, months of the year and so much more. She even knows some sight words and can sound out phonetically spelled words. She is one smart cookie!
Here's one of her songs.

And this is her class. There were 7 students. Her teacher was great. Congrats, Ali!

Mother's Day

I had a wonderful mother's day starting with a great date night on Saturday night. We went to Paradise Bakery. Nice. Then of course my family made me breakfast, the cute primary kids sang, Tim made a great chicken cordon bleu dinner... the usual. It was perfect.

Tim and the girls ended the day with a cute little concert. Lydia even gave me an A+ for being a great mom! I love being a mom, I have the three best, cutest, smartest kids in the world!

Easter 2011

We had such a wonderful Easter weekend. My mom came from Washington! We went to two Easter egg hunts, one in Lindon and one in Provo. The kids found a lot of eggs, got a lot of candy, silly bands, and free crazy bread coupons to Little Ceasar's. There were also 30 grand prize eggs, but a couple hundred kids. Lydia found a grand prize egg though which got her a real pearl necklace from Goldsmith's Jeweler's. She loves it and wears it all the time.

After the hunt the kids made bunny hats...

went on the bouncy slide...

and got their faces painted!

Next we picked up Aunt Shannon, Uncle Danny, and Grandma Marsha (the girls loved having both grandma's around at the same time) and went to the tulip festival at Thanksgiving Point. It was beautiful and a lot of fun!

The kids' two favorite things there were the fountains in the secret garden, and rolling down a nice grassy hill.

We dyed eggs and went to bed so the Easter bunny could come and bring a nice basket of (more) goodies!

Easter morning the kids rushed to their baskets and found some fun toys as well as "Tangled"! We got dressed up in our Easter best and went to church. Then we had a great dinner with my aunt and uncle, my cousin and her family, my mom, Shannon, and Danny. We ate until we were stuffed and played some games. It was perfect and we created some wonderful memories. Best of all we were able to celebrate the rebirth that is spring and the resurrection of our Lord and Savior. I hope you Easter was just as wonderful!
