Christmas Dance Concert

Ali and Lydia are both in dance this year. Their dance studio does a Christmas concert, and they keep it low cost using costumes they have at home. Ali danced to "Ay Ay Ay it's Christmas" in tap shoes. She has such a cute little shake-a shake-a. Here's her little dance.

She's in class with one of her best friends, Ava. Aren't they darling!


Lydia danced to "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree." We had to come up with a rocker costume for her. I think it turned out really cute! Here she is is.

Lydia is also in class with her friend Kayla. They rock!

Merry Christmas, Lindon Elementary

Every year Lindon Elementary does a Christmas Sing on the last two days of school. It's very cute. Ali and Lydia were both in it this year. Bryant and I went to participate. The girls did a great job on their grade songs. The big hit though is a song that was written many years ago for the school. It's called "Merry Christmas, Lindon Elementary" and the kids absolutely scream it! What a fun tradition!

Mrs. Claus

Mrs. Claus always visits the Pleasant Grove library at the beginning of the season. We sing some carols, read some great stories, get some treats, and get to talk to her. Bryant is scared of Santa and won't sit on his lap, but Mrs. Claus has a softer look and she persuaded him to come talk to her. It was cute. Her visit is becomning one of my favorite holiday traditions.

Temple Square Lights

The Saturday after Thanksgiving, Kenlee (our niece) was still visiting from BYU-Idaho, so we took her to see the lights at Temple Square! It was very cold, and pretty crowded, but we had a blast. I think the kids liked riding the train the best. It's funny what kids end up liking. The lights were beautiful and we really loved spending the day with Kenlee.

Giving Thanks

Thanksgiving was bounteous in visiting family member this year! We had such a great time with everyone. The older kids and adults visited and played games. The children ran around and played. It was chaotic and oh, so wonderful! We felt truly blessed.

Halloween!

This is going to be like my summer post. I'm going to cover everything Halloween we did in October in one post, sorry if it gets long. We went to a neighbor's Halloween party. We did pumpkin bowling and "eat the doughnut on the string" game.


We took a little trip on the Provo river on this great Halloween cruise. There were many jack-o-lanterns, lights, and even a pirate! It wasn't even very cold.



We went for a ride on the Nigthmare Express! Stringtown does such a great job with this and it's FREE! It doesn't get better than that for Halloween fun.

Of course we went trick-or-treating. Where are those pics you ask? I really don't know! Sad, I hope I find them. Lydia was a devil, Ali was a pink, sparkly Supergirl, and Bryant was a dragon. Happy Halloween!

Utah State Fair

Emergency Essentials has a booth at the state fair every year, so Tim works it and gets a couple of extra tickets. So, to the fair we went. The kids all thought it was so fun to be able to see and touch so many farm animals.



Then of course we had to hit some rides! Ali went on the "scary" rides with me and Tim took the other two on some more calmer rides. Then we found some everyone liked!




We love the fair!
